Participation fee
The participation fee will depend on the amount of extra funding we receive, which is at this point still subject to uncertainty. Currently, the upper expectation of the fee is £330 (basic rooms with shared showers), or £400 (full en-suite rooms), and covers:
- accommodation in a Durham University college for 7 nights,
- participation to the lectures,
- buffet lunch each lecture day,
- 2 coffee breaks each lecture day,
- excursion, and
- one joint summerschool/workshop dinner.
Travel and dinners are at the participant's own expense.
Admission
The number of participants is restricted to 35. To help us in selecting the final participants to the school, applicants must email the following information, by email, to Matthias Troffaes (matthias.troffaes@gmail.com), no later than April 15th, 2010:
- your first and last name,
- your affiliation,
- your status (PhD student, researcher, ...),
- a short CV (1 page maximum), and
- a short letter explaining why you are interested in the SIPTA school and/or in imprecise probability.
In addition, we also need
- an e-mail from your PhD supervisor, or your head of laboratory/unit/department, simply indicating that (s)he supports your request to participate in the school.
The organising committee will select the candidates. A confirmation email will be sent to accepted participants. All the information concerning the payment of the accommodation will also be sent to the accepted participants.
